Preface
I'm in the middle of the Amazon on a boat that is bringing me from Manaus to Belem to the 'ocean and the east coast of Brazil.

The First Step: Where to go?

Passports and Visas
With an Italian passport is not 'hard to get in most countries.

The methods of entry in the various countries can be divided into four categories:
- Countries where you do not need a passport but just the identity card '
- Countries where the passport is sufficient

Preparation
A rule of all: travel light. You'll often walk with a rucksack and if you have 10 kg can move easily, but if you make here are 20 that will take a Taxi 'where he wants, so you will have to negotiate ... a lightweight backpackers' free to move, a heavy and 'forced to accept disadvantageous conditions.
Another basic rule: Do not even think about the hard case with wheels, and 'a real suicide.

The Budget
Most likely first want to know how much money to go spend a day to see how many do you need or how long you can travel.
Based on the various sources available to you (guides, websites, forums, etc.) you must try to define the average cost of various items of expenditure, such as:

Travel arrangements
Now that you arrived, you took a shower and have eaten, you have to think what to do. If you're going to pull out the program that you had prepared in the months of waiting, already I can 'tell you that 90% did not follow him and that's okay. Get more informations

The curse of the flying sheets
Any information you have gathered did not write it down, but the wheel of a booklet.
It may seem more 'easy to use pieces of paper' cause often the information you write the third, like the person who gives you the 'bus schedules or addresses of some hotels, but you'll notice immediately how volatile a piece of paper. It makes you think that because you have everything with you will also have the package, but in reality 'you often leaving them in the room, could be sunk in the most' hidden of that universe, and that 'your backpack or simply lost them. And this can 'happen when you have a desperate and urgent need.

I am often asked if it 'possible to travel without knowing the English language is not widely known by the Italians.
