The diatribe Mac or PC is now a classic in the Riva / Rivera, The Beatles / Rolling Stones, Right / Left ... etc. despite years of discussion does not get you, and never arrive at the truth.
The fact is that the discussion is between 90% PC / Windows and a Mac 10% *.
(* For those who then have to make the distinction: here I use the word Mac into simplistic, I mean actually the union and Mac OS X operating system)
In fact, the comparison should be only between those who used to be that the other one.
What is the point that a person who only ever used Windows Mac criticize us? And vice versa?
And the answer lies in the demographics: users who have used both Windows and Mac, now use Mac
Maybe not everyone, but the vast majority.
And what these people say? Which Mac is infinitely better.
Sure, there are exceptions: those who failed to get used to a system where the solution is often the most logical and does not want to make a capacitive task is simple .... Easy.
Or people who have used Macs in the dark years, I think it was 80 years, and never came back on the right path.
Or who is now too used to the Fiat Uno and he was unhappy with the Audi A4.
Or who is allergic to the enthusiasm of the nerds who love Macs of their lives (they should relax a little, is a computer after all).
Why am I here, from Bali to write an article on a diatribe and boringly old technology?
For three reasons:
1) I broke the balls every time I have to do with Windows users, I am indirectly damaged by their problems. "I formatted the disk, send me back those files?", "I caught a virus, I am sending you one thing when I set", "I can not send the screen shot because I do not know how to" and so on. Not to mention the ones asking for help in place to fix that driver does not work or remove pounds of viruses or anything like that.
To you I say: it is not your fault if you have a PC, but next time just buy a Mac (I do not even venture to offer Linux). It costs a little more but in the long term save money and time. If you spent 800 euros instead of 1200, and then paid 30 euro a year in anti-virus, 50 to let you format, you are without a computer for days or weeks and maybe you lose important files, that the price difference you're burned, right?
I'm not saying that OS X is a perfect system, for heaven's sake, but there is really no need for an average user of ruining his life ahead of Windows.
2) Why did the people do not know: it's a bit like those who vote Berlusconi again. You can make a fault him? Do not know. It is not informed. He lives in a world where the whores are escort, (let's go back to your computer) if you do not use Mac Office, the Internet is different and you have to learn all over again. Oh, do not let me change that I have enough problems in life!
And so I feel a duty to enlighten you: if you switch to Mac, online life will be simpler, there is Office and the Internet a safer place.
3) God spoke to me and told me "you have a Mac? Bravo, you're in the Light. "
And our friend Gerard, South African photographer, has captured the moment in a photograph that became an icon in the Mac Vs PC debate.
Now that you know, go in peace, waiting for Chrome OS X.

Well ... I Paciugo Mac several times with my friends ... but Linux is still the best of the best, even considering some distros (like the legendary Ubuntu) that require very few skills. Besides, if a user the virus get it, and then maybe spend $ 50 to bring the PC into the store and have it format ... well, perhaps Windows DESERVES!
And, unlike Berlusconi, who does not want Windows can 'choose!
Ps everyone is stain to write from my laptop. With Vista
but I need for some specific programs on the drive ... I have Linux, I swear!

July 27th, 2009 at 06:28
@ ParkaDude: I put Ubuntu Lek, but for example there is no version of Skype is easy to install, so for that back in Windows. From this I understand that it is still a bit early for Linux for basic users.
July and is an engineer at Intel China, I know he knows something

That's great! That picture says it all. They are - from exPc Mac user - with you for years while I also continue my work of evangelization converting - with a good success rate - friends.

I have a Macbook and a drive with Vista and after a year I still prefer to use my classic PC. Maybe because now I have no problems with system crash, virus, etc. ... but in recent times or the system Microsoft has improved, and I was very lucky. Probably a matter of habit, but found everything ready without trying too much, without having to have AutoCAD to run on Bootcamp, Chrome, Safari is better than that still mark my preference for the PC.
This is my testimony from users of both systems, even if I feel like I'm voting for Berlusconi!

are mac user since 96. (Needs music)
Yes, that could be a bit 'dark years, high cost and there was all like Winzoz.
But since there is OSX San things have drastically changed.
I would say that the difference is precisely OSX, because we are there in hardware '.. computers are too good or bad with the same components.
Over the years I have always fought to evangelize friends and acquaintances to OSX, a bit 'we are successful and some' no.
But I looked like an element of the church which was to force the evangelization ... so from now on I let people discover the Light and the straight path alone.
A little 'how do I travel with ... ..
"How is Thailand? ..."
"It sucks .... you eat well, the seats are not beautiful, it's too hot ... .. do one thing ... STAY HOME! "
"The Mac sucks ... do not you find programs, the Internet does not walk ... OSX is hostile .... And then costs a lot eh! Microzoz ... so stay with you will be informed and then you keep in allenamneto installations with the BIOS and drivers" ...

Skype on Ubuntu 8.10: http://www.blogwol.com/installare-skype-ubuntu-810/
I personally tested this procedure and it works.
Anyway, back to the subject, I have Win and Ubuntu.
I love Ubuntu, but 'I admit that it is not' very user-friendly ... for example, are not yet able to operate the microphone (so skype and all the rest are useless) and I do not work either the wireless card ... thank goodness I have a pen that works without problems.
The problem of wireless maybe I'll be able 'to solve it (the drivers are released under the table) but the problem of the microphone and' hard ...
Anyway, not that linux sucks, indeed, and 'that unfortunately there are no drivers specifically for each hardware component that then you have problems like that.
The Mac and 'good for charity', but in principle I like to marry the open source ...
Ps: I put on ubuntu strictly graphic theme Leopard!
)))
July 27th, 2009 at 11:23
I installed Skype on ubuntu ... mmm ... ok, there 'to do it from the command line but I assure you it works!
July 27th, 2009 at 11:45
cmq always depends on how or what you use and your knowledge. Use the PC and Mac for 16 years from five, never spent a penny (opss Euros) antivirus, never formatted by necessity, but only desire to clean, never caught a virus or had to put our hands to problems with systems windodsss . And I can assure you that I surf the web a lot, I feel a lot of crap, or programs from sites more or less recommended, but it is enough passer rules. How do you buy a Mac for the mega play PES, may not have clear ideas ... so like all things, one must see to your needs.
Obvious that Mac beats windows on many things, but for many it is more convenient to Bill ... I know people who stop to Napster in that it does not know, no inquires and will not change ...
And then just as well, otherwise I work that I put PC as well?
July 27th, 2009 at 11:53
sorry but I do not understand X, which 'is difficult to install skype on linux-ubuntu .... there 'including the interface to open Synaptic from Ubuntu and connects to the repository on the server that contains all the programs and install it yourself ... .. even more 'easy in windows ... with the advantage that if you released a new version of the download automatically without complications. Then the linux version of skype and 'stop at ver. 2, and that 'something else .... hello
July 27th, 2009 at 24:57
"OK, there 'to do it from the command line but I assure you it works!"
you know what you just said? Command line. You see the people who run away? Then once that happens, the command line is better, no doubt. But I do not feel like to suggest to my friend imbanchino to use the command line to install Skype.
"Including the interface to open Synaptic from Ubuntu"
maybe if I have time give us a look. Where do you start?
July 27th, 2009 at 14:18
I share quite what Matthew says Martinazzo above.
I do not think there is a better operating system but the operating system that best suits what I want to do with the PC.
The Linux operating system is not for everyone, sometimes the use of the terminal is required to solve problems.
Windows, its problems are already known.
Apple however has an even more restrictive than that of Microsoft, those of Psystar made us understand what might actually cost a Mac
I personally would go beyond a simple choice of a single operating system with virtualization I chose the most out of existing operating systems.

It starts here:
http://www.ubuntu-it.org/index.php?page=download
July 27th, 2009 at 20:09
Anyway, as I have already 'explained to my friend:
Windows already has 'myriad problems of his own, in more' touches run on millions of machines that have different hardware from one another (each takes what he wants in).
Runs on Mac hardware instead of "standardized": you are free to assemble the hardware you want, but you have to "suffer" the choices of the house.
This 'already' a big advantage for the software, why 'and' optimized for a particular type of hardware that's all.
Even Ubuntu is "paying" the price of having to run on thousands of different hardware ... that's why 'I do not work on wireless, what does not work the microphone, to another and so the webcam is not working' on ...
July 27th, 2009 at 20:15
Ps: I do not like the Mac owners!!
Eheehhe!
Anyway, and '... too true ... fighettini. seem almost a caste that treats others as "inferior people".
The Ubuntu (or, better still, Debian) are more 'Fuck!!

July 27th, 2009 at 21:23
"... This idea of the dichotomy is deeply wrong ... ..." TT
July 28th, 2009 at 01:45
are indeed many owners are pretty gassed ... just ignore them (or ignore!).
The basic problem remains the same: what to suggest to his friend is not qualified? What you use Facebook, Skype, email and a little one?
Windows not because it gives you problems, not because Linux is not easy to manage (see Skype), Mac is easier because in the end.
Then you can make thousands of distinction for more advanced uses, but I was referring to the mass suffering under the yoke of Windows.
July 28th, 2009 at 15:45
Sunday evening I logged on mac osx 10.4 using garage band (by default) with a microphone from 30 euros using a beat-up acoustic guitar for 6 years in Europe and 3 trips to Africa ...
Amazing what it does and how we just do it ... I was a small garage band eric clapton ...
There is all of what you need, everything, and I have a metallic sound, from hendrix or stones or even just clean and simple click of a button ... never seen anything like this. Woodstock has become a living!
Big Mac ... and I'm looking forward to trying something has changed with Leopard!
July 28th, 2009 at 16:33
I started with Windows and are now happily married with a Mac Powerbook There is no comparison!
who try Mac never go back!
ps
the photo is beautiful! luca great!
July 28th, 2009 at 17:42
mac .. what the fuck you say!
never spent a cent in the virus, normally incompetent for a user PC is better, easier and cheaper
But the picture is spectacular
July 28th, 2009 at 20:32
Linux from last month!
July 28th, 2009 at 21:12
And I throw it there ... why not install on a PC from a good 350 Euri Leopard? The result will be a nice mac only 350 Euri ..
July 29th, 2009 at 06:18
Ahhhh ... my nice Commodore 64!!
July 30th, 2009 at 07:52
'cause not to think of choosing a known hardware and supported ... an example to buy EEEPC for netbooks, where there are communities' entire x info ... ask. and then install Ubuntu and never again 'no complicated problem
July 31st, 2009 at 08:28
Well, I disagree.
I use both Mac and PC (Windows). In my opinion until a few years ago (before the Intel Mac) Apple could not be reached primarily as performance of its machines. For example, when I had the ibook g4 battery lasted 3-4 hours and there was no PC on the market price could have a range similar to the human. Now, however, has also recovered PC hardware and Mac OS you can also install computer hardware, so obviously illegal.
In short, it is true that Mac OS is better than Windows, if only for the fact that viruses and other various schifezzuole not run under Mac OS, but I prefer Windows XP, Mac OS also crashes the rest.
Then I can not stand Apple users that if they pull it insulting those who use more.
July 31st, 2009 at 12:04
I actually did not talk a general and absolute. There are cases and situations where the PC is fine.
But see what alternatives you have to give:
- Illegally installing OS X on PC
- Use an operating system, XP, born in 2001 and deprecated in 2007, and passed from Vista and Win 7.
I repeat: the basis for a user I can only advise you to make a simple and safe choice: Mac
Then he caught on to all I can say is to do as they wish and do not put your mouth, because I'm no expert.
August 2nd, 2009 at 18:41
Windows users never write sentences like, "God spoke to me and told me" you have a Mac? Bravo, you're in the Light "."
Ok ... would have no reason to do so, but 'even if he do not write it!
Ps: What then, if we look closely, Steve Jobs' even worse than Bill Gates ...
August 7th, 2009 at 14:42
Ahahaha, I love you.
